A Young Woman or a Virgin

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” - Isaiah 7:14

Argument: 

• The Hebrew word used in this passage for Virgin is "almah" which means "young woman" so this prophecy is not about a Virgin.
  
  

Rebuttal:

• The Septuagint which is the Greek Translation of the Old Testament and it translates the Hebrew word "almah" to "virgin" 
• The Gospel of Matthew, which was written from a 1st Century Jewish perspective to the Jews, interprets "almah" in Isaiah 7:14 to mean "Virgin" and Matthew is a more authoritative source than any of the Bible critics
